    Intriguing fire district election will force voters to make some hard decisions


    The task before Saratogans living in the Saratoga Fire District: From four candidates, select two who will adequately help run the fire district during the next four years as members of its governing commission. Not an easy decision given that this is a district in the midst of a political imbroglio in which neither supporters nor detractors can agree on what the word "adequate" means. The two sides spent weeks this spring debating whether or not fire service in the district's half of the city were indeed "adequate," after the city's public safety committee described it as such.   More
