    Obituary

    Marlene McLaughlin

    Former Saratogan Marlene M. McLaughlin died Oct. 13 at the age of 69.

    A native of Oak Park, Ill., McLaughlin was a graduate of Lake Forest College in Illinois. She taught first grade for four years in Oak Park before marrying her husband, Dr. William T. "Bill" McLaughlin. The couple later moved to Saratoga, where they raised their five children. After William's retirement, the McLaughlins moved to Durango, Colo.

    Survivors include husband Bill McLaughlin; daughters and sons-in-law Carrie and Didier Akoun of France, Kathleen and Dan Weddle of New York and Patty and Steve Allen of Saratoga; sons and daughters-in-law John and Barbara McLaughlin of Torrance and David and Tracey McLaughlin of Menlo Park; 10 grandchildren; and brother and sister-in-law Allen and Nancy Moreno of Elmwood Park, Ill.

    Memorial services have been held. Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
