Santa Clara Library System Stacks Up More Accolades
The Santa Clara County library system received another distinguished mark on Sept. 22, when it was ranked as the second-best library system in the country.
The ranking is given by Hennen's American Public Library Ratings Index, which last year ranked the libraries seventh in the nation.
Earlier this year, county librarian Susan Fuller was given the honor of "Librarian of the Year" by the Library Journal.
Three other libraries in California also were rated among the country's best. The Santa Clara County Library system includes the Saratoga Community Library, located on the corner of Saratoga and Fruitvale avenues.
