Saratoga News Village Briefs West Valley College holds volunteer fair People interested in volunteer opportunities can attend a fair at West Valley College's Campus Center from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Nov. 4-5. The college is located at 14000 Fruitvale Ave. in Saratoga. AAUW topic is traditions The public is invited to the next meeting of the Los Gatos-Saratoga branch of the American Association of University Women, which takes place Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at the Saratoga Adult Day Care Center, located at 19655 Allendale Ave. Guest speaker Donne Davis discusses "The Rewards of Rituals" and shares how rituals can make life more meaningful. Audience members are encouraged to share their own family traditions or personal rituals. The meeting also features a presentation by Redwood Middle School student Paula McNally, who received an UUAW scholarship. For information, call 378-8894. Family coaching workshop offered The Parenting Continuum, a series of programs to teach and support the development and improvement of family relationships, holds a program called Family Coaching Workshop: The Adolescent Years on Nov. 10 and 17 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Los Gatos Neighborhood Center, located at 208 E. Main St. The workshop is facilitated by MFCC interns Nicole Bitter and Susan Dunn of the Teen Counseling Center of the West Valley. Parents and children are encouraged to attend together. The Parenting Continuum is a project of Community Against Substance Abuse, the Los Gatos-Saratoga High School District Health Committee, A Place for Teens, the Teen Counseling Center and Triad Community Services.
