Junior League of San Jose offers scholarships, funds for girls

The Junior League of San Jose announces the availability of funding and scholarships through The Girls' Fund for the 2000-2001 League Year. The Girls' Fund is part of a community service program called The Girls Alliance, created by JLSJ to provide funding and scholarships for nonprofit organizations in San Jose that offer educational and personal development opportunities to girls between the ages of 11 and 14.

During the 2000-2001 League year, a maximum of $2,000 is available to a qualifying organization. Scholarships are reimbursed to approved organizations after completion of the JLSJ training program and upon submission of receipts to JLSJ.

The deadline to apply is Nov. 22. For specific application guidelines and criteria, or to request a form, call 408.264.3058, or fax 408.264.9019.
