Annual holiday boutique at Sacred Heart Church
The Sacred Heart Women's Club holds its 21st annual "Hollydays" Boutique at the church, 13724 Saratoga Ave., on Thursday, Nov. 7, from 3 to 8 p.m. and Friday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. On Nov. 7, there will be a wine and cheese tasting from 5 p.m. on, and refreshments will be available throughout both days.
Local and Bay Area crafts people will display a variety of handmade crafts, holiday decorations, garlands, wreaths and gift items.Baked goods will be sold, and Santa will be on hand for visits with children.
Live animals on view at Grace Methodist
Live animals from the Heifer Project, which provides animals for poor people around the world, will be on view this week at Grace United Methodist Church, 19848 Prospect Rd.
A Heifer Project Faire and Living Gift Market will be held from noon to 3 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 10, at the church. Those attending will learn about beekeeping and how to send living Christmas gifts, such as cows, sheep, rabbits, goats, pigs, fish or chickens, to a hungry family, who will pass on the gift of their animal's offspring to a neighbor.
