What voting trends predict for the future
The Los Gatos-Saratoga-Monte Sereno League of Women Voters will join with San Jose, Santa Clara and Cupertino-Sunnyvale Leagues to stage a general membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 21 at the Campbell Community Center, 1 West Campbell Ave.
Guest speakers will be Dr. Terry Christensen, chair of the political science department at San Jose State University, and Susanne Wilson, consultant and former county supervisor, discussing "Voting Trends: Predictions for the Future."
Among questions to be answered are: Did young voters exercise their right to vote? Is the percentage of women voters still on the decline? Was there an angry white male backlash?
The League of Women Voters of Los Gatos-Saratoga,-Monte Sereno will hold a grassroots planning meeting and soup lunch from 9:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Nov. 14 at the home of Claire Campodonico, 15206 Elm Park Ct., Monte Sereno.
