Photo: Christmas comes early to Village

Alfonso Serrano, a public works maintenance worker, hangs wreaths on lamp posts along Big Basin Way as part of the city's contribution to the holiday spirit. In past years, Donna Collins of Henrietta Hen's Country Store has had to do most of the work herself. This year, she found merchants, the Chamber of Commerce and other local business people willing to donate for the purchase of new wreaths. She also collects $10 from each merchant to keep the small white light bulbs replaced when they burn out. The holidays are coming early to Saratoga's Village, and they are going to be very festive, indeed.
