    Sheriff 's Report

    Disorderly Conduct/Drunk in Public--Nov. 6, 12:48 p.m. on Lawrence Expressway at Prospect Road. An officer determined that the suspect was under the influence of an intoxicating liquor in a public place and could not exercise care for his and others' safety, so the officer took him to the main jail and booked him.

    Forgery--Nov. 6, 10:30 a.m. on Big Basin Way. The suspects forged the victim's signature and tried to transfer funds from the victim's bank account.

    Petty Theft--Nov. 5, 9:45 a.m. on Riesling Court. Unknown suspects took a banner from the victim's property.

    Vehicle Vandalism--Nov. 5, 8 a.m. on Candy Lane. The victim said his vehicle was parked in front of his residence before dark the day before. When the victim returned the next morning, a pumpkin had been smashed into the windshield. The victim had no suspect information.

    Vandalism--Nov. 4, 10 a.m. on McFarland Avenue. Unknown suspects smashed out the hatchback window to the victim's vehicle.

    Under the Influence of a Stimulant/Unlicensed Driver--Nov. 3, 11 p.m. on Lawrence Expressway at Prospect Road. After the officer stopped the suspect's vehicle for a vehicle code violation, the officer discovered the suspect had a $7,500 misdemeanor warrant for his arrest and that he was an unlicensed driver. While talking to the suspect, the officer noticed that he was displaying the symptoms of being under the influence of a stimulant. The officer arrested the suspect and booked him into the main jail.

    Vandalism--Nov. 3, 12:45 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A victim said that six males, about 15 to 17 years old, would park on the side of the victim's business building during their lunch break and party. They have been seen smoking cigarettes and are suspected to have been smoking marijuana. One or more of them painted the side of the building with florescent paint and dumped paint on the sidewalk.

    Petty Theft of Mail--Nov. 3, 8:10 a.m. on Hume Drive. Unknown suspects took the victims' mail, which contained checks, from their mailbox.

    Stolen Vehicle--Nov. 2, 1 p.m. on McCoy Avenue. According to the victim, on Nov. 1, the suspect said he would buy the victim's vehicle and pay for it when he returned. The suspect never returned with the money. On Nov. 4, the victim told the officer that the suspect had returned the vehicle.

    Grand Theft--Nov. 1, 8:40 p.m. on Aspesi Drive. An unknown suspect took a digital camera valued at $899.95 from a boxed package on the victim's porch.

    Theft of Identity--Nov. 1, 12:15 p.m. on Cox Avenue. On Aug. 18, the suspect started calling a victim's phone company to obtain his Social Security number. Over the next two months, the suspect obtained the Social Security number, changed the victim's mailing address, blocked the victim's in-coming cell phone calls and changed a second victim's mailing address. The suspect admitted changing both victims' account addresses.

    Petty Theft--Oct. 31, 12:30 p.m. on Oahu Lane. The victim parked his van in his garage at 7 p.m. the night before and left it unlocked. At 8:45 p.m., a store employee called him and said his checkbook had been found in the store's parking lot. When the victim returned home from the store, he noticed that his coin holder and electronic organizer were gone.

    Petty Theft--Oct. 31, 10 a.m. on Prospect Road. The victim left her cell phone on the school grounds and noticed it was gone when she reported for gym class.

    Drunk in Public--Oct. 30, 3:55 p.m. on Quito Road. The subject was lying in the bushes and did not know how he got there. He admitted he was intoxicated and said he was an alcoholic who had been sober for five months. He was transported and released to the sobering station.
