On Nov. 10, he joined other community volunteers and staffers as they reshelved books in the former magazine lounge. The project was one of several undertaken recently to better use space in the 20-year-old library. Library officials and members of the Library Commission have been trying to educate patrons about the library's cramped conditions since an informal poll taken last year indicated voters would not support a bond measure to fund a library expansion.
