Montalvo's Service Group honors its new members
The Montalvo Service Group is honoring its new provisional members with a gourmet Italian dinner and dance, titled A Tuscan Evening at the Villa, on Oct. 6, at Villa Montalvo in Saratoga. Before becoming a full member of the nonprofit group, an applicant is considered a provisional member for one year, during which time experienced members of the MSG act as advisors.
Provisionals also learn about the many activities undertaken by the group. This includes attending meetings, participating in outreach programs, serving as docents for The Gallery at Montalvo, meeting Montalvo's artists in residence, helping with the brunches and lunches held periodically at the Villa and making craft items to be sold during the annual Yuletide at Montalvo holiday fundraiser.
