Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportGrand Theft--Oct. 19, 11:30 a.m., on Big Basin Way. An unknown suspect pried open a glass cabinet door and stole the most expensive items in the cabinet which totaled over $1,000. The store was open at the time of the theft. Vandalism--Oct. 18, 1:03 p.m. on Palmtag Drive. A resident noticed that her rear bedroom window had been broken. A deputy checked and found broken glass on the ground outside the window and on the floor inside the window. The deputy determined that since the broken glass was still in the window frame, no forced entry was made into the home. The deputy was unable to determine how the glass was broken. Vandalism--Oct. 18, 12:10 a.m., on Big Basin Way. A fistfight involving several customers broke out at a bar. When the fight ended, one of the customers started to walk away when another customer chased him down the hallway and began the fight all over again. The bar sustained property damage to a hanging light fixture. The suspect was found outside the bar and arrested by deputies for being drunk, uncooperative and unable to care for his own safety.
