Falcons win JV crown

There were plenty of awards passed around the room when the Saratoga girls junior varsity volleyball wrapped up the 2000 season this fall.
And for good reason. The Falcons posted a 13-1 record to win the championship in the El Camino Division of the Santa Clara Valley Athletic League.
Freshman Hannah Gladwell topped the list of Saratoga award winners, walking off with the team's most valuable player honor. Daedra Cavanaugh was selected as the all-league offensive player, and Neha Talreja was named the all-league defensive player.
Marjan Navid and Ashley Moorhead were tabbed team captains, Sheeva Banisalam was the picked as the most improved player and Heather Holdorf was the winner of the coach's award.
The championship squad was coached this fall by Lori Gragnola.
