Grandparents, grandchildren find much to celebrate at annual eventWhat better reason could there be for giving thanks than a gathering of grandparents and grandchildren? Two Saratoga schools--Saratoga Elementary and St. Andrew's--got a jump on the season by inviting grandparents on campus the day before Thanksgiving. Our photographer caught up with kids and their grandparents at St. Andrew's and found everyone getting along famously. Activities at St. Andrew's included a morning reception, featuring songs by preschoolers and kindergartners, and visits to classrooms where grandparents were entertained by skits, plays and music. Residents from the Saratoga Retirement Community/Odd Fellows Home were invited to be special guests. More than 500 grandparents and other guests attended, and a good time was had by all.
