Fresh-Mex chain names SHS graduate new CEO
Angela Yen-Pace, a graduate of Argonaut Elementary, Redwood Middle and Saratoga High schools, became the new chief executive officer in early October for Una Mas Restaurants Inc. The company owns both the Una Mas! Mexican Grill and Pollo Rey Original Mexican Rotisserie chains.
Yen-Pace joined the company in 1997, as director of marketing and has worked closely with all aspects of the business in various roles, most recently as executive vice president. Before coming to Una Mas, Yen-Pace served as the founder and president of Cafe Bravo, a bakery-cafe chain based in the Far East.
In her new position as Una Mas CEO and leader of a 35-unit restaurant chain, Yen-Pace reports directly to Richard Hamner, the chairman and founder of the company.
