    Obituary

    Kathryn Williams

    Kathryn Aileen Rainie Williams, a longtime resident of Saratoga and San Jose, died of complications from a brain tumor on Aug. 6, in Morgan Hill. She was 53.

    Known as Katie to family and friends, Williams was born Aug. 10, 1946, in Fresno. Before marrying and starting a family in 1966, Williams was an actress affiliated with the California Shakespeare Festival, the San Jose Light Opera and ACT. She went by the stage name of Kathryn O'Rainie.

    Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law Heather and Robert McCaslin of Spokane, Wash., Heidi and Dave Saifi of Pleasant Valley, Ariz., and Hailey and Mark Kerzich of Sonora; grandchildren Zachary, Shenae, Alexandra, Christine, Anne, Kiana and Brian; father Robert Rainie of Aptos; mother Ruth Rainie Condit of Saratoga; sisters Jo Rainie Rodgers of Fremont and Christine Balch of Rancho Palos Verdes; and brother Brian Rainie of Cupertino; also many nieces, nephews and extended family.

    Memorial services have been held, with interment at Madronia Cemetery in Saratoga. Donations may be made to Odyssey Healthcare, General Fund, 25 N. 14th St., Suite 610, San Jose, 95112.
