Donations offered to needy families

Cupertino Community Services, which offers emergency help to low-income people in Saratoga, Los Gatos, Cupertino and West San Jose, is offering two programs to provide gifts and toys to needy families. Through the Adopt-A-Family program, individuals, organizations, churches and businesses "adopt" less fortunate families and individuals, providing them with a holiday meal and gifts for all members of the family. In addition, low-income parents are invited to come in to the Holiday Toy Shop, located in the Oaks Center in Cupertino, to pick out several new toys for each of their children. If you or someone you know would benefit from these programs, call Barbara Jones, 255-8033.

The choir will perform the same program Dec. 16 at 7 and 8:30 p.m. at the Oakland Temple Interstake Auditorium. Admission is free for all performances. For more information, call (415) 531-1475.
