Now that Thanksgiving is over, the Christmas decorating season is in full swing. That means it's time for the annual Decorate Saratoga! contest, cosponsored by the Saratoga News and the Odd Fellows Home of Saratoga.
The competition is open to both homes and businesses. Decorations will be judged on the basis of design, originality and use of color. Residents of the Odd Fellows Home will travel by bus on the evenings of Dec. 18 and 19 to rate the best decorations in town. The top three entries in each category will receive prizes, including dinners and gift certificates for goods and services from local merchants.
Entry forms must be submitted by Dec. 15 at 5 p.m. The form, published on page 16 of this issue of the Saratoga News, will also be available in upcoming issues, as well as at the Saratoga News office, 14375 Saratoga Ave.; the Odd Fellows Home, 14500 Fruitvale Ave., and the Saratoga Community Library, 13650 Saratoga Ave.
