    Sheriff's Report

    Sheriff's Bike Stolen--Sept. 25, 10:40 p.m. on Saratoga Avenue. During the Celebrate Saratoga Festival, an unknown person stole a sheriff's bicycle. Anyone with information about the green mountain bike with Sheriff markings on it is urged to contact detective Randy Bynum at the Sheriff's West Valley Sub-Station, 408.867.9721, ext. 252.

    Cultivation of Marijuana--Nov. 16, 8:30 a.m. on Quito Road. A resident reported someone had been growing marijuana in the bushes on her property. The marijuana had been harvested and only stalks and equipment were found. The victim believes her gardener, who was fired in July, is responsible. No other gardeners had worked on the property until about three weeks ago.

    Cash Stolen--Nov. 18, 2:45 p.m. on Montpere Way. A resident noticed $350 in cash had been taken from her purse. She suspects that her former tenant is responsible; he was moving his possessions out of the home on the day the money was taken. The landlord and tenant have unresolved issues between them.

    Ammunition Found--Nov. 20 on Cox Avenue. A man flagged down a deputy and gave her two magazines containing .45 caliber bullets. The man said he found the magazines wrapped in tissue paper behind the Lucky's market on Quito Road. The San Jose and Campbell police departments were notified, and the bullets were submitted for destruction.

    Items Missing from Moving Van--Nov. 22, 12:30 p.m. on Wood Dell Road. A victim reported items missing from a moving van after recently moving to Saratoga from Orange County. The victim said the missing property was loaded into the van, but never made it into the new house.

    Golf Course Damaged--Nov. 22, Prospect Road. A witness saw two suspects who weren't golfers sliding baseball-style on the first green at the a golf course. The witness took down the license plate number of the car the suspects drove away in. Damage to the green is estimated at $75 to $100.

    Grand Theft--Nov. 26, 4 p.m. on Prospect Road. A resident reported CDs had been stolen from her car. She believes the theft occurred at a car wash.
