    Sheriff's Report

Vandalism--Dec. 3, 7:20 p.m. on Lomita. During the weekend, the unknown suspect(s) shot a window in a home that the reporting party was building. The suspect(s) shot the window with a pellet gun and broke the window, causing about $300 in damage. The suspect(s) left no evidence.

Identity Theft--Dec. 3, 11:30 a.m. on Chateau Drive. At first, when the victim received a credit card he hadn't ordered, he disregarded it and thought the credit card company had sent it by mistake. When he called the company, an employee said that the victim had requested the card. He didn't become suspicious until another bank in Florida called him to confirm a credit card request. The victim also received a notice from a bank that said that he had overdrawn his checking account and that the account had insufficient funds. The suspect had withdrawn all the cash from the victim's account by obtaining the victim's personal information.

Attempted Burglary--Dec. 2, 1:20 p.m. on Prospect Road. The unknown suspect(s) broke off the door handles of a field house with an unknown object and left one of the doors open. The suspect(s) also forced open the ticket booth next to the field house. The person who operated the concession stand inside the field house said that nothing was missing from the building.

Vandalism--Dec. 2, 9:45 a.m. on Aspesi Drive. The unknown suspect painted "420" on the left rear quarter panel of the victim's car, while it was parked parallel to the curb, in front of the victim's house. The victim doesn't know what "420" means.

Drunk in Public--Dec. 2, 1:35 a.m. on Los Gatos-Saratoga Road. The officer responded to a disturbance at a residence. An adult male was under the influence of alcohol and wanted to drive home, but the reporting party wouldn't let him. The subject tried to take his car keys from the reporting party. The reporting party asked the subject to leave when the officer arrived. The officer judged the subject to be too drunk to drive and as being unable to care for himself. The officer arrested the subject for public drunkenness, drove him to the sobering station and released him.

Reckless Driving--Nov. 27, 2:15 p.m. on S. Saratoga Avenue. The officer received a radio call of a possible road rage and met the victim on Saratoga Avenue. The victim said she was changing lanes on southbound Saratoga Avenue, near Cox Avenue, when the suspect honked his horn and sped up to prevent her from changing lanes. She said he followed her and struck her car three times with his car. The victim, who feared for her safety, recorded the suspect's license number and the color of his car.
