    Youth Baseball

    The Saratoga Little League and Saratoga Pony League baseball programs are holding registration for the 2002 season in all divisions. Little League baseball divisions range from T-ball to majors (to 12 years old), and Pony League is for players ages 13-14.

    The leagues are also looking for coaches and umpires for the coming season.

    Paseman a Champ

    Sabrina Paseman, 9, of Saratoga finished first in her age group and second overall at the Northern California Level 5 gymnastics championships.

    Paseman, a fifth-grader at Harker School, earned a place on the NorCal Level 5 State Team with her showing. She was first in the 9-year-old division and second overall among the 320 gymnasts (ages 7-13) in the Level 5 field. Paseman competes for Airborne Gymnastics.

    A highlight of Paseman's performance was an impressive 9.75 score on the balance beam.

    Holiday Camps

    Santa Clara University will host Holiday Baseball Camps on Dec. 15-16 at Buck Shaw Stadium for players ages 14-18.

    Hitting Camps

    San Jose State University will hold its annual Spartan Baseball Winter Hitting Camps Dec. 15-16 and Dec. 22-23 for players ages 9-17 at Blethen Field (across from Kelly Park and Municipal Stadium).
