Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportLoaded Gun--Dec. 8, 1:35 a.m., on Bucknall Road. The suspect stopped his car in the middle of an intersection and then when he saw the deputy, he pulled into the parking lot. The deputy checked to see if there was a problem and discovered the suspect was under the influence of methamphetamine and had a loaded handgun in the center console of his car. Grand Theft--Dec. 7, 11:30 a.m., on Hammonds Avenue. On Thanksgiving Day, a resident had a house party. The following day, she noticed some $5,000 in jewelry missing. The victim gave deputies a list of possible suspects. Grand Theft--Dec. 6, 12:27 p.m., on Juniper Lane. A suspect took two diamond stud earrings, two gold earring sheaths and a thin gold necklace for a total loss of $980. The only non-family members known to be in the house were the housekeeper and the assistant. The housekeeper told deputies she had been accused of two other thefts since hiring the assistant. The victim does not believe the housekeeper is involved but suspects the assistant.
