Saratogan becomes admissions volunteer
Ann S. Ryan of Saratoga is an admissions volunteer for St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y.
Ryan, who graduated from St. Lawrence in 1959, has volunteered to be a resource person for high school students interested in applying to St. Lawrence.
Local student in UOP Honors Program
Alison Young of Saratoga has been admitted to the freshman honors program at the University of the Pacific. The honors program offers students a variety of social and academic events, as well as the option of living in an honors residence hall.
Saratoga student stars in college play
Saratoga resident Dave Mount played the role of newspaperman Tyler Connell in Bellarmine College Preparatory's production of We're All Guilty Nov. 14-23 on campus.
The drama depicts courtroom proceedings when a teenage boy is accused of causing a car accident that seriously injures two teenage girls. Mount's character chronicled the events and challenged the judicial proceedings.
Candidates for degrees
Susan C. Ghest and Sarah Anne Wolthausen of Saratoga are candidates for degrees at the University of Oregon. Ghest will receive a bachelor's in fine and applied arts and Wolthausen will be awarded a bachelor's in psychology.
