The West Valley-Mission College District Police Department offices at West Valley College in Saratoga have been overrun by animals--but not the wild sort! On the contrary, the department has simply experienced a successful outcome to its eighth annual stuffed animal drive. Each year, the police departments at West Valley College and Santa Clara's Mission College encourage the community to donate teddy bears and other stuffed animals to be donated as Christmas presents to the Children's Shelter and the Domestic Violence Shelter of Santa Clara County. More than 175 teddy bears have been collected so far, and delivery to the two shelters is planned for Dec. 20.
