Water damage--12:18 a.m., Dec. 12. Saratoga firefighters inspected a Crisp Avenue building under construction and found that rain was leaking through the roof, but they did not have enough tarps to protect the building.
Water damage--6:48 a.m., Dec. 12. Firefighters used an industrial vacuum cleaner to suck up water seeping into a Pierce Road home.
Flooded basement--8:52 a.m., Dec. 12. The owner of a Fruitvale Avenue house reported that the basement was filled with rain water. The fire department provided a portable pump that emptied the basement about two hours later.
Downed power lines--Various times, Dec. 11-12. Saratoga residents reported 15 separate fallen power lines or transformer fires during the recent rainstorms.
