Saratoga News Obituary John Gerhardt John L. Gerhardt, a resident of Saratoga for 35 years who lived the last several years in Escondido, died Nov. 7 at the age of 80. He was born March 21, 1918, in Wyoming. According to his daughter Patricia, he was an avid gardener and was a very devoted family man, spending much time with his children and grandchildren. His first wife of 40 years, Delores Gerhardt, preceded him in death. Survivors include wife Sue Gerhardt of Escondido; daughters Patricia Gerhardt of Saratoga and Nancy Yearwood of Fort Bragg; grandchildren Barbara Arreguin of Santa Rosa and Tricia Perkins of Oakland; great-grandson Jacob Arreguin; brother Robert Gerhardt; nephew Jack Gerhardt; and many other relatives.
