Saratoga NewsSheriff's ReportPetty Theft--Dec. 6, 11 a.m., on Loquat Court. A unknown suspect took three hubcaps and 13 lugnuts from victim's car. No entry was attempted into the car. Deputies were unable to get fingerprints because the car was wet. Burglary--Dec. 5, 9:10 p.m., on Prospect Road. An employee parked her car in her employer's parking lot. At the end of her shift, she found that her drivers' side window was shattered and her wallet was missing. Registration Fraud--Dec. 4, 5:55 a.m., on Saratoga Avenue. During a traffic stop, a deputy discovered a car displaying blue '99 year tabs that did not belong to the car. The driver said he knew his registration had expired and told the deputy he found the blue '99 year tab on the street. The driver was cited and his vehicle was towed. Stolen Fireplace--Dec. 3, 2:50 p.m., on Montrose Way. A resident reported that someone stole his $1,500 fireplace insert from his home which is under construction. Sometime between Nov. 21 and Nov. 25, unknown suspects removed the insert from the living room by removing the wallboard surrounding it and disconnecting the gas line.
