Home for the Holidays gala raises money for homeless

For the third year in a row, Realtors in many South Bay offices have shown their support for fighting homelessness by raising money for the Housing Industry Foundation, a nonprofit organization whose mission is to help individuals and families find stable housing, or remain in the housing in which they currently live.

This year's Home for the Holidays fundraiser brought in $68,000, which will help approximately 75 families in the Bay Area. The fundraiser, held at Sacred Heart Church in Saratoga, consisted of samples of gourmet food donated by several local restaurants, along with live and silent auctions.

Sponsors included Union Planters Mortgage, Waterfield Financial, World Savings, Williams Party Rentals, Fine Homes & Estates Seville Contempo, Silicon Valley Association of Realtors & Homeowners Political Action Committee and Bill Gorman of Coldwell Banker in Saratoga.
