Saratoga NewsLettersTom Campbell's vote cries for an opponent Where is the once-moderate Tom Campbell who represents Saratoga in Congress? The day before he announced his plan to vote for Clinton's impeachment, he pictured his position as hanging in the balance, saying he "needed to read his email." But he has been a quiet leader in efforts to prolong and broaden the investigation and is therefore partially responsible for dragging the American public through an endless partisan landfill. Having defied 70 percent of his electorate by voting as he did, and having abandoned the moderates who have supported him, Campbell deserves an able opponent when he next comes up for election.
