Sacred Heart Austin Way Sewer repairs
Construction on a 5,000-square-foot addition to Sacred Heart School is wrapping up this month, and staff members at the Catholic school on Saratoga Avenue expected to begin to move into their updated building in early August.  More Saratoga's planning commission has agreed with many residents that bumpy, brick, 98-year-old Austin Way should be protected as a 'heritage lane.'  More Work on a sewer line along portions of Fruitvale and Allendale avenues is scheduled to begin Aug. 12 and could impact traffic along those roads through mid-October.  More

Saratoga Woods Home burglaries Nursery co-op
The Saratoga Woods area, whose social nexus is the neighborhood swim club, is home to a group of community-minded residents who love its 'small town' feeling.  More There was a rash of burglaries last week in Saratoga, with three break-ins taking place on Wednesday and Thursday nights. In each case, the suspect broke in while residents were at home and stole jewelry.  More At the Saratoga Parent Nursery School, children guide their own development and parents enjoy a high level of involvement and peer support.  More
