Openings remain in volleyball,
all-sports camps this summer

Girls volleyball
The Vision Volleyball Club and Los Gatos High
School will present summer volleyball camps
for girls in grades 5-12 on Aug.
12-16 in the high school gym.
A youth camp for girls in grades 5-8, to
be held from 9 a.m.-noon each day, will
focus on developing fundamentals and
improving ball control.
An advanced camp for girls in grades
9-12, set for 5-8 p.m. each day,
will prepare players for the high school
season with sessions on conditioning,
improving ball control, development of
advanced skills and position work.
Los Gatos coach Joe Ripp, in his 12th year of
coaching girls volleyball, will head up the
camp, along with other high school and club
coaches.
The cost of the camp is $140 per player, and
each camper receives a T-shirt. For more

All-Sports Camp
Santa Clara University will host its Summer
All-Sports Camp for children with a "sincere
interest in sports and outdoor recreation."
The camp will begin Aug. 11 for resident
campers and Aug. 12 for day campers.
Sports offered will include baseball,
basketball, volleyball, soccer, tennis and
