San Francisco is in the running to be the site of the 2012 Olympic Games, and for two years Los Gatan Rick Tharp has been designing all the graphics for that bid. Now he's recruited a dozen of the Bay Area's top designers, and his team's posters are taking the valley by storm.

| Someone liked Saratoga's skatepark so much they made off with two of its pieces—between 5:30 p.m. Aug. 19, after the park closed for the day, and before 11:30 a.m. Aug. 20, two pieces were stolen from the basketball courts at Redwood Middle School.
