Yelinek graduates

Jason Yelinek of Saratoga recently graduated from Harvey Mudd College. Yelinek, the son of John and Linda Yelinek, received a bachelor's degree in computer science.


Whitworth grad

Saratoga resident Jeff Schaller recently received his bachelor of arts degree in psychology from Whitworth College. The commencement ceremony was the college's 112th, and 400 diplomas were awarded.


Local MIT graduates

Four Saratoga residents graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) this past spring.

Amy Chu, the daughter of Kung-Chao Chu and Yumei Chu, received a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering.

Mendel Chuang, the son of Sam and Tiffany Chuang, graduated with a bachelor's degree in management science as well as a degree in economics.

Sherry Jenq, the daughter of Shu-Chu and Bao-Chyuan Jenq, received a bachelor's degree in computer science and engineering.

Erik Sudderth, the son of Barry and Meredith Sudderth, graduated with a master's degree in electrical engineering and computer science.


Retired teachers

The Santa Clara County division of the California Retired Teachers Association will meet on Sept. 13. All retired educators are invited to the event, which will include a new member reception. The meeting begins at 1 p.m. at the Leiniger Center in Kelly Park, San Jose.


Siegle earns degree

Saratoga resident Matthew Siegle recently graduated from Dartmouth College. Siegle is the son of Marylee and William Siegle, and graduated cum laude with a double degree in biology and studio art.
