Angelic artwork on exhibit
Santa Cruz Mountains resident Nancy Jo Lopp is exhibiting a photographic collection of angelic images now through Sept. 22 at Aegis Gallery of Fine Art, located at 14531 Big Basin Way in the Saratoga Village.
The show comprises angels she has photographed in the cemeteries of Great Britain, Ireland and the Bay Area. Most of the angels are part of sculptures that are life-size or larger. Some of the angels are portrayed in standard color photography, while other images were developed through the Polaroid emulsion transfer process, a specialty of Lopp's.

Traveling in Spain is topic of program
Among the programs and workshops it offers to the community, REI Saratoga has invited Linda Pearson to give a slide presentation on Sept. 17 at 7 p.m., detailing two Spanish adventures in which she has participated: cycling along the Camino de Santiago, northwest of Madrid, and hiking along the southern coast of Andalucia. Pearson's presentation includes a discussion of the 1,100-year-old history of the Camino, the highlights of Moorish Spain, the olive and orange groves and the snow-capped Cadiz Mountains.
