Rowing program
The Los Gatos Rowing Club will hold a fall introduction to rowing session for high school students interested in learning more about the sport. The session begins Oct. 5, 9 a.m., at the Los Gatos Rowing Club Boathouse at the Lexington Reservoir, and no sign-ups are necessary.
The fall session runs through Dec. 8 with practices on three weekdays from 4 to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 a.m. to noon. The cost is $150. Interested rowers must be able to swim.

NJB registration
National Junior Basketball (NJB) Saratoga is holding sign-ups for the coming season.
NJB is a competitive basketball league for boys and girls in the first through eight grades. Separate boys and girls divisions are offered for players in grades 38, and new this year are coed leagues for players in grades 12. The fee is $175 for the first player from a family and $150 each for each additional family member. Players must provide a copy of their PG&E bill for proof of residency.
NJB runs on volunteers. Parents are expected to volunteer for a job or choose a $100 buyout. Confidential scholarships are available for families who qualify.

Notre Dame golf
A golf tournament to benefit Notre Dame High School in San Jose will be held Oct. 7 at The Villages Golf and Country Club in San Jose. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m., followed by a shotgun start at noon.
The entry fee of $195 includes lunch, golf, contests, auctions, a cocktail party, dinner and an awards ceremony.

Masters swim
A masters swimming program for those age 19 and older is offered Monday through Thursday, 78 p.m., at the Los Gatos High School pool.
