Attempted Burglary—Sept 15 at 11 a.m. on Cox Ave. An unknown person attempted to enter a business by breaking the glass of the front door, then reaching in to unlock the door. The suspect was unable to open the door due to a deadbolt, resulting in no entry being made and no property being taken.
Petty Theft—Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. on Springer Court. A black carrying case with personal valuables inside was stolen from a garage when the owner left the garage open and unattended. The estimated value of the bag contents was $225. There are no known witnesses.
Petty Theft—Sept. 14 at 3:30 p.m. on Bonnet Ave. An unknown person approached an unlocked car parked in a residential area, stealing a wallet from the front seat. Multiple credit cards as well as personal information were inside the wallet. The estimated value of the wallet was $100. There are no known witnesses.
Identity Theft—Sept. 13 at 10:12 a.m. on Kevin Street. A bank in North Carolina called an account holder to notify her that several large withdrawals had been made using personal checks from her account. The checks were not, in fact, her personal checks, but had been cashed by the suspect using her personal information and signature.
Petty Theft—Sept. 12 at 4:30 p.m. on Idlewood Lane. A delivery was made to a residence, with the package left on the porch. The victim returned home to find the mail had been opened, and checks had been taken from inside the box. There are no known suspects.
Grand Theft—Sept. 12 at 8:05 a.m. on SaratogaLos Gatos Road. A boat parked at a residence was discovered to be missing equipment. The owner had not been in the boat for several months. When he recently went into the boat, he discovered that the GPS navigation system and fish detector had been stolen. The estimated value of the equipment was $2,000.
Petty Theft—Sept. 10 at 3:30 p.m. on Big Basin Way. An unknown person stole a package from a resident's porch. The victim was expecting two books to be delivered and never received them. When she called the delivery company, she was told that the items had been delivered. Her account was credited and new books sent.
