When Lauren and Darrell Boyle bought Saratoga's Casa Tierra, they weren't sure what they were getting into. The unusual house, constructed by hand from 500 tons of adobe mixed with straw and sludge oil, features beautiful tile and whimsical details, but it's not without its quirks—and ghosts.  More

Downtown parking Library furniture Oak St. signal
Amidst continuing pressure to keep downtown parking off neighborhood streets, the Santa Clara County Sheriff's Westside Substation has lost the use of the adjacent Saratoga Federated Church's parking lot.  More Like the new Saratoga Library, the Friends of the Saratoga Libraries' Furnishing the Future campaign is looking good, but, having raised about half of the $1.1 million needed, it's got a ways to go.  More A casual comment by a Caltrans traffic engineer to the planning commission Oct. 9 has raised some questions about tentative proposals to install a traffic signal at the intersection of Oak Street and Saratoga­Los Gatos Road.  More
