The South Bay Guitar Society will unite four highly regarded guitarists from around the world for its International Guitar Night, which will open the guitar society's new season on Oct. 26.
The four guitarists who will be featured in this performance are Yugoslavian performer Dusan Bogdanovic, Sao Paolo native Marco Pereira, composer Peppino D'Agostino and Bay Area artist Brian Gore.
Bogdanovic is a member of the Falla Guitar Trio. Pereira serves as a professor in the composition department at the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro. D'Agostino has recorded eight albums and has composed for film. Gore recently released the Legacy CD on the Acoustic Music label and created the International Guitar Night concert, which will also be the second-to-last event in downtown San Jose's 2002 Performing Arts Series.
The performance will take place Oct. 26 at 8 p.m. at the Montgomery Theater, Market and San Carlos streets., San Jose. Tickets are $15$18. For more information, call 408.292.0704 or visit www.sbgs.org.
