Tryouts are slated for 10 a.m. to noon for players ages 12 and under; 2­4 p.m. for players 14 and under; and 6­8 p.m. for players ages 16­18. The tryout fee is $25.

Rowing club

The Los Gatos Rowing Club will hold a meeting for prospective rowers and their parents on Nov. 7, 7 p.m., in the cafeteria at Los Gatos High School.

Coaches and board members will attend the meeting to answer questions about the 2003 junior crew season, and schedules and membership information will be available.


Baseball sign-ups

The Saratoga Little League will hold sign-ups for the 2003 season on Nov. 13 and 14, 7­9 p.m., and Nov. 16, 9 a.m.­noon, in the cafeteria at Argonaut School.

The league is open to boys and girls ages 5­12 (t-ball through major divisions) and there will also be sign-ups for Pony League (ages 13­14). Players must bring a birth certificate and a recent utility or telephone bill as proof of current residence.

Volleyball tryouts

The Point Break Volleyball Club will hold tryouts for the 2003 season in November at Saratoga High School.

The club, under the direction of Westmont girls coach Peter Kim, will hold tryouts on Nov. 16, 7­9 p.m., for girls in the 12-and-under, 13-and-under and 14-and-under divisions, and on Nov. 17, 7­9 p.m., for girls in the 15-and-under, 16-and-under and 18-and-under divisions.

There is a onetime tryout fee of $25, but players can try out for multiple teams.
