Students can now enjoy natural lighting while studying, thanks to the new library facility at Saratoga High School. After years of planning, the 17,000-square-foot building was constructed over 18 months and ready for the new school year in 2002. The facility, which cost $5.1 million and had support from the 1998 Measure B bond, holds nearly 30,000 volumes, two state-of-the-art research work rooms, and tables for group activities and study. In addition to morning hours to provide yoga classes for staff, the library will now be extending its after-school hours from 3:45 p.m. to 5:15 p.m. in response to student and parent appeals.
