Bucknell honors Saratoga students

Kristen Molzon and Kelly Orasin of Saratoga have been inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa.

Molzon was selected for her academic efforts and leadership abilities. She is a sophomore biology major, member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and Alpha Chi Omega sorority. Molzon, the daughter of Doreen and James Molzon, has also been recognized on the dean's list.

Orasin, the daughter of Carolyn and Frank Orasin, is a sophomore in the College of Arts and Sciences and was selected for her academic achievement and leadership efforts. She has also been named on the dean's list and is currently a member of the Alpha Lambda Delta honor society and Delta Delta Delta sorority.


WVC's Ken Colson to retire

West Valley Community College anthropology professor Ken Colson has announced his retirement. After 35 years of teaching at the community college, Colson is looking to spend less time teaching and more time researching.

A retirement party will be held on Dec. 5. Former students are encouraged to attend. To RSVP, call 408.741.2539.


Morse wins award at West Point

Daniel Morse of Saratoga has been awarded the gold wreath and named to the West Point Academy dean's list for his achievements during fall semester.

Morse is a life sciences major and, upon graduation in 2005, he plans to be commissioned as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Army.
