Fundraising event will help Evan

The parents of Evan Leney are looking to the community to help raise funds for their child, 7-year-old Evan Leney, who has been diagnosed with autism. Jim Leney, who lost his job in July, and wife Megan wish to send their son to the Autism Treatment Center of America in Massachusetts for a week of intense treatment. Travelling and treatment expenses will cost more than $10,000.

"Despite the job loss, we're trying to continue the momentum to help Evan," said Megan Leney.

The fundraiser, featuring a silent auction, cheese and wine, will be held Dec. 7 from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Leneys' home at 20353 Blauer Drive. Admission is $20 per person or $30 per couple. A list of auction items is posted on the family's website. For additional information, contact Megan Leney at 408.867.4151 or visit www.leney.org.
