His friendship with JoJo the dolphin has inspired Dean Bernal to protect all marine animals in the wild. Bernal, who makes his semipermanent home in the Turks and Caicos Islands, has De Anza College instructor Linda Barrett as the stateside administrator of his Dolphin, Whale and Marine Wildlife Foundation, and together they work to educate the public about their cause.
