Sheriff's Report
THEFT—Dec. 31 at 9:20 a.m. on Shadow Mountain Avenue. A school janitor found the chain gate from the south side of campus was missing. The lock to the gate was also missing. The estimated cost of the chain and lock was $150. There were no suspects at the time.

FALSE IDENTIFICATION—Dec. 29 at 1:40 a.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. An officer stopped a car for a speeding violation. The driver provided the officer with his name and date of birth, which proved to be false when the officer asked for the driver's paperwork. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Clara County Jail.

VANDALISM—Dec. 20 at 10:15 p.m. on Brookglen Drive. An unknown person threw a small glass bottle at a resident's front bedroom window. The impact from the bottle caused the window screen to tear and several panes of glass to break. The resident did not see the perpetrator. There were no known witnesses.

DRUNK IN PUBLIC—Dec. 20 at 5:50 p.m. on Saratoga-Sunnyvale Road. A man was arrested and booked into the main jail for being drunk at a local restaurant. The man had fallen in the mud outside of the establishment and was unable to stand up on his own.
