Lasagna dinner at senior center

The Saratoga Senior Center is serving a lasagna dinner on Jan. 23, starting at 5 p.m. For $12, the meal includes lasagna, garlic bread, cake, wine and a commemorative glass.

The meal is sponsored by the De Anza Kiwanis Club, and entertainment will be provided by the Bee's Knees. The event is a fundraiser for the senior center. To make a reservation, call 408.868.1257. The center is at 19655 Allendale Ave.


Rec department to offer classes

The Saratoga Recreation Department is still accepting registrants for any of its winter 2003 classes, most of which start in late January. More than 200 classes will be offered, including yoga for youth, stained glass, faux finishing, cooking for adults and various fitness courses.

Los Gatos Rotary holds Crab Feed

The Rotary Club of Los Gatos will host its annual Crab Feed on Jan. 18, 5­8 p.m., at St. Mary's Church in Los Gatos. Proceeds from the event benefit Rotary charities. For more information, call 408.370.1674.


Police chief will speak at luncheon

Los Gatos­Monte Sereno Police Chief Scott Seaman will be the guest speaker at the West Valley Bar Association's quarterly luncheon on Jan. 24. Seaman will discuss the death of Eric Quesada following a drunk-driving accident Thanksgiving week and will explain what the police department and the community are doing to address drinking and driving.
