Foundation asks for donations
The Saratoga Education Foundation (SEF) is calling for donations to help fund the Saratoga Union School District. SEF funding constitutes roughly 5 percent of the district's budget, which is used in part to fund programs in music, art, computer instruction, physical education and science lab support. The foundation also helps with developing social and emotional curriculum with team teachers and maintaining district school libraries. SEF is volunteer-run, spending 97 percent of donations on school programs and the rest on maintaining the foundation. Check donations should be sent to P.O. Box 2392, Saratoga, 95070. For employer-matching contributions, contact Sue Hwang at matching@saratoga-sef.org. For stock donations, contact Leslie Roberts at endowment@saratoga-sef.org. Contact Shina Lin concerning car donations at cardonations@saratoga-sef.org.
