Members of Valle Monte League installed new officers at a luncheon Jan. 16 at Eulipia in downtown San Jose. Provisional members were elected to active status during the afternoon, and Florence Barker, finance chairwoman, announced the group's annual Christmas Tree Elegance had raised $420,000.

'Text As Imagery' Exhibit

The San Jose Museum of Quilts & Textiles kicked off its current exhibit, "Language Arts: Text as Imagery," with a reception Jan. 26 at the museum, located at 110 Paseo de San Antonio, in downtown San Jose. The show continues through March 16.
