The Saratoga Good Government Group was formed in 1957 and is the oldest local political organization in Saratoga.

Mountain Winery expects changes

The Santa Clara County Planning Commission approved the annual noise report for The Mountain Winery 2002 concert season. Commissioners monitored 10 concerts and reported the noise levels as ranging from inaudible to slightly excessive.

The winery, which became the site of a series of concerts in 1958 after many vineyards were removed, will be installing sound meters and warning lights on soundboards in response to the 17 complaints that were made by local residents. The project is expected to be completed before the concert season starts in April.
