Plaid is in fashion at Civic Theater

The West Valley Light Opera Association will present Forever Plaid at the Saratoga Civic Theater through March and April. The musical takes place in the 1960s, when four clean-cut high school boys dream of a music career that promotes traditional values and harmony—nothing like the rock and roll of the times.

A lighthearted tale with a tragic twist, the musical will be directed by Brad Handshy. Steve Shapiro is music director and Kristine Dudley is producer. A gala champagne opening will be held March 15 at 8 p.m., with regular showings following on March 16, 21, 22, 23, 28, 29 and April 4, 6 and 11.

Shows vary in price from $18 to $22. Twenty minutes before all shows, students will be able to buy rush tickets for $10 with identification. For tickets, call 408.268.3777 and for information visit www.wvlo.org.
