Valentine's Day set the mood for Los Gatans to show they love art—and the museums of Los Gatos. The event was an auction of original artwork, and it featured works from such well-known area artists as Ruth Tunstill Grant, Marian Clayden, Marilyn Dorsa and Rick Tharp. Festivities took place at the recently revamped Art Museum of Los Gatos.

It Was Coming Up Roses

Some people give roses to loved ones on Valentine's Day, but Friends of Guadalupe River Park & Gardens encourages donations for the care and feeding of individual rosebushes at the San Jose Heritage Rose Garden instead. On Valentine's Day, the Friends celebrated the donations with a reception at d.p. fong Gallery to honor donors and their loved ones (in whose name the gift is given).
